In celebration of spring and our commitment to exploring creative expression through performance, Juniper Village Wellspring Memory Care at Brookline welcomed students from Mount Nittany Middle School’s Drama Club. The energetic and talented group of young actors took Juniper residents and family members “Under the Sea” telling the story of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and performing selected songs from the musical! Ariel sang “Part of Your World” as she pined to be on land with the Prince. Residents smiled and tapped their toes to the crooning of Flounder and the pop harmonies of the Mersisters with “She’s In Love”. Ursula the sea witch and her eerie eel sidekicks, Flotsam and Jetsam, commanded the room with “Sweet Child” and the ultimate Disney villain song, “Poor Unfortunate Souls”. The evening was filled with smiles, laughter, and hearty applause, concluding with the presentation of a special “thank you” card, handcrafted by the residents.
